Gatineau – July 16, 2025 – The Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and Maison Papillon Enfants et Familles have signed a framework agreement establishing the foundation for a long-term collaboration focused on advancing research in pediatric palliative care, sharing expertise, and creating enriching internship opportunities.

“This framework agreement will foster cooperation between UQO and Maison Papillon with the goal of enhancing the quality of community services, research activities, and training,” stated UQO Rector Murielle Laberge.

This collaboration may take shape through:
● The implementation of joint research projects involving researchers;
● The exchange of scientific and educational materials;
● Faculty collaboration in the development of tools and best practices;
● The creation of internship opportunities for students.

“Maison Papillon is delighted with this collaboration with UQO, which will help build, in synergy with the community, a space for learning and professional development in pediatric palliative care. This partnership will elevate Maison Papillon to the height of its mission while promoting regional solidarity among multidisciplinary teams and supporting the retention and attraction of expertise to the Outaouais region,” said Brigit Viens, President of Maison Papillon.
